Student Organization Awards
 

The Student Organization Awards celebrates the accomplishments of our Registered Campus Organizations (RCOs) for their contributions to campus life at UCSF and beyond. RCO members, leaders, and advisors play a valuable role on campus, and we invite you to take this opportunity to recognize outstanding leadership and achievements by submitting a nomination.

Students, staff, faculty, or advisors may submit nominations (including individuals from the organization they wish to nominate). Nominations may only be submitted for a currently Registered Campus Organization and/or student who is a current officer or member of a currently Registered Campus Organization.  Please consider the following when submitting a nomination: 

  • The involvement, experience, programs and/or initiatives of the student organization that is relevant to the award category.  
  • Achievements described in the nomination must be within current academic year.

Each category will have one winner selected by a committee comprised of students and staff. Winning individual or organization will receive an official certificate, $500 (group awards)/$250 (student award), and will be featured on the Student Life website and social media channels.

Award Categories:

Community Education and Service Award

The Community Education and Service award is presented to the organization that has made impactful contributions to the San Francisco Greater Bay Area community through community education, health fairs, and/or engagement. The recipient of this award serves underserved communities and/or younger populations to encourage pursuit of higher education. 

Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Award

The Justice, Equity, and Inclusion award is presented to the organization that demonstrates an active commitment to our campus community in the area of  justice, equity, and inclusion. The recipient of this award showcases significant contribution through a wide range of identifiable outcomes, such as furthering community engagement in dialogue and education and/or coordinating programming efforts that support diversity, inclusion, and social justice. 

Outstanding Student Organization  of the Year​

The Outstanding Student Organization of the Year award is presented to the organization that demonstrates significant programmatic efforts, leadership, and presence within the UCSF community and beyond. The recipient of this award serves as a role model for peer organizations, maintains strong and consistent operations throughout the academic year, and demonstrates exemplary effort to enhance the UCSF community. 

Outstanding Student  Leader of the Year

The Outstanding Student Leader of the Year award is presented to the student leader who demonstrates outstanding dedication to the student organization mission, possesses exceptional leadership skills, and whose significant contributions have moved the organization forward. The recipient of this award exhibits willingness to go above and beyond for not only the organization but for its members as well.
